At the hotels in Nairobi and Moshi you are on a bed and breakfast basis. Breakfast normally consists of tea and coffee, fruit, cereal, toast, eggs, etc. There are a number of good places to eat in Moshi, offering a wide variety of local and international cuisine, including Tanzanian, Italian, Indian, Chinese and Indonesian restaurants.

When climbing you will be well looked after. We choose the ingredients carefully to ensure that the food prepared by our team is tasty, has high energy content and is easy to digest at altitude.

Below is how we typically cater for you on the mountain.

There will be ample drinking water, as you will be filling up from local water sources. All the water is boiled so iodine drops or tablets are optional whilst trekking. If you do happen to use water from a stream or from hotels it may be best to purify it first. The porters will collect water each morning and evening for drinking and cooking.
