The primary mission of New Frontiers Health Force is to touch the nations by offering hope and healing through the development of international health centers, medical outreaches and community education programs.
New Frontiers Health Force was founded in 1997 by Dr. Tonya Hawthorne, DO, as a faith-based non-profit organization. To date, New Frontiers has sent out hundreds of medical teams to over 30 countries, participated in global disaster relief projects, donated millions of dollars of medical and pharmaceutical supplies, and built health centres in Balague, Haiti and Ngoswani, Kenya.
Dr. Hawthorne completed her Osteopathic medical degree at ATSU in Kirksville, MO and did her residency at Suncoast Hospital in Largo, FL. Dr. Hawthorne has been recognized for her humanitarian work from the President of the United States, as well as, from many national and local organizations.
Since that initial visit to "scout out the land", New Frontiers Health Force's presence has evolved.  The community of Ngsowani now has a self-sustaining health center, the Ngoswani Community Health Center or NCHC, that offers the following services:
Primary medical services and general consultations
Antenatal clinics
Labor and Delivery
Pediatric and Adult Immunization progams
Emergent care and monitoring
Tuberculosis screening and treatment
Essential oil therapy and massage
Laboratory services
